S'mac & the Bald Man

Time is dwindling on my friend's visit here but we still have a few stops to make in NYC before she goes!

This morning she went to a service at St. Patrick's Cathedral and I joined her for lunch at S'mac. Where all menu choices involve macaroni! She had the basic mac and I had the buffalo wing inspired mac. Tasty! There's another all mac restaurant in town but S'mac is the original - so don't settle for impostors! ;)

After that we went to Max Brenner - Chocolate by the Bald Man and had dessert. When we were seated we noted that brunch would have been good there, too! As one critic best described the place - "Willy Wonka does exist!" It is certainly chocolate heaven.

Once we had consumed our tasty chocolate treats using such things as a hug mug and Alice drinking cup with metal straw we looked thru the gift shop and I found an odd treat meant to inspire romance and bring a couple closer. A piece of chocolate that is meant to be passed back and forth between the couple's mouths until it melts away. Apparently, it was inspired from a scene in a foreign film. It didn't inspire me to buy it though...

Already it was time for my friend to get packed up and head for the airport. Our other friend stopped by to say her farewells and off my friend went to the airport. To sit for a few more hours than expected due to delays. Eeek!
