Stopped in the Starbucks near my work this morning and witnessed why the Starbucks employee probably doesn't get paid enough....
A homeless person had made himself @ home at one of the tables and 2 workers were trying to usher him out. One (female) was armed w/ a trashbag and another (male) w/ a bucket of sanitizer.
The female asked the guy if he was done w/ his newspaper as she slowly started to chip away at the stash he had brought in. He wasn't responding and finally she was left to keep repeating in a stern voice - "Sir, You've got to pack up and go!"
The guy finally commented on the bucket of sanitizer and asked if they were going to wipe down the table after he left. "Yes." They responded.
I have no idea how long it took them to get him out of there but I wondered if most businesses are left to deal with that on their own or if police do come to assist with that - where's the line drawn? I didn't envy those employees @ all but was impressed w/ how they were trying to take care of the problem anyway.
